December 15 Flu Shot Deadline

All staff must receive their flu vaccine by tomorrow,Wednesday, December 15. Vaccines are available in the Employee Health office from 7:30 AM – 3:45 PM. You do not need an appointment.

New York State Mask Mandate

Effective yesterday, December 13, Governor Hochul reinstituted a statewide mask mandate. Masks are required for everyone in all indoor public spaces unless businesses or venues check the vaccination status of each patron/guest. New York State Department of Health will reevaluate on January 15.

The mandate is in response to the dramatic rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the state and the number of hospitalized patients who are battling serious illness. Since Thanksgiving, the statewide seven-day average case rate has increased by 43%, and we expect to see a similar surge after Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. Masks provide an added layer of protection against COVID-19 and other seasonal viruses, including the flu. We encourage you to wear masks if you’re planning to gather inside with your family and friends.
