A physician referral is required regardless of insurance coverage and can be faxed to 518-886-5880. Once we receive the referral, we will contact you to schedule an appointment at a time that is convenient for you. Because many insurance companies cover these services, we encourage you to check with your insurance provider before scheduling an appointment. If your insurance does not provide coverage, Saratoga Hospital’s Financial Assistance Program may be able to help.

Please call 518-583-8343 to learn more.

Our trained experts are here to help you develop a practical plan with all the tools and information you need to enjoy a healthy, active life with diabetes. Registered Dietitians offer individualized counseling sessions, educational classes, and support services, and are there to adjust you plan as your needs change over time. For more information, please call 518-886-5121.

Registered Dietitians teach patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions how to eat, enjoy food, and meet their unique nutrition needs. Each patient receives a comprehensive nutrition assessment, including lifestyle habits, food preferences, and details about their medical condition(s) and symptoms. The assessment identifies priority areas, which are used to develop an individualized treatment plan to relieve symptoms and guarantee nutrition adequacy. The dietitian will share the nutrition assessment with the patient's healthcare team to ensure coordinated and appropriate care. There is a fee for this service, but many insurance companies cover the cost with a provider order. Interested patients should check with their insurance carriers for coverage information. Please call 518-886-5121 for more information, or to schedule an appointment.

Registered Dietitians work with patients to promote healthy weight management using safe, proven strategies and individualized eating plans. If you are interested in exploring bariatric surgery (or weight-loss medication options), the team of dietitians who are part of the Saratoga Bariatric Surgery & Weight Loss Program can guide you through the process, explain pros and cons, and support you throughout your journey.

Registered Dietitians work closely with behavior therapists/counselors to coordinate ongoing treatment and support for individuals diagnosed with eating disorders or other weight-related mental health issues.

For patients with high blood pressure or high cholesterol, Registered Dietitians draw on a wealth of educational resources related to heart disease to support patients in adopting heart-healthy eating habits.

Good nutrition is essential to maximizing physical performance. Registered Dietitians work with patients to tailor eating plans to each athlete's regimen to ensure adequate energy intake and optimize performance.

Registered Dietitians work with individuals who have been diagnosed with food allergies, intolerances, or sensitivities. Dietitians develop individualized plans to help those patients navigate a healthy diet despite their limitations.

A comprehensive nutrition assessment is available free of charge to every cancer patient receiving active treatment. Registered Dietitians work with each individual patient and their family to develop an appropriate care plan and harness the power of good nutrition throughout treatment and into survivorship. Dietitians are available as needed to answer questions and address concerns. Please call 518-583-8672 for more information, or to schedule an appointment.

Registered Dietitians will provide you with tools to develop and stick with a weight-loss plan that meets your individual needs and goals, including how to safely reduce calorie intake and improve your long-term health and well-being. For more information on our non-surgical weight-loss management options, including free community education programming, please call Outpatient Nutrition Services at 518-886-5121.
