In June 2019, Governor Cuomo signed legislation removing religious/non-medical vaccine exemptions for children attending school in New York State. While the medical community has no role in enforcing the law, providers at Saratoga Hospital are dedicated to assisting families in understanding and meeting the new requirements.

Join us for a community forum, presented by Wendy Mayes-Beasly, MD, from Saratoga Hospital Medical Group Primary Care Galway. Physicians will address details of the new legislation, including:
  • Who the new law effects, and how it will be enforced
  • Which titers will be accepted, and how to order them
  • Exemptions to immunizations, and why most patients will not qualify
  • The catch-up vaccine schedule set by the CDC
  • How to make appointments for vaccinations or to discuss options with your child's provider.
