Saratoga Hospital Center for Sleep Disorders Recognized for Quality

Sleep medicine program earns reaccreditation from American Academy of Sleep Medicine

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., June 22, 2021—Saratoga Hospital Center for Sleep Disorders has earned reaccreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine for meeting quality requirements widely regarded as the “gold standard” for sleep medicine programs.

The center opened in 2016 and earned AASM accreditation the following year. AASM notified Saratoga Hospital last month that reaccreditation has been granted for five years, effective July 8.

“This reaccreditation affirms both the quality of our program and our commitment to continue developing and advancing best practices for sleep medicine,” said Dr. Hung Dinh Nguyen, medical director of pulmonary and sleep medicine at Saratoga Hospital and head of Saratoga Hospital Center for Sleep Disorders. “AASM accreditation is a mark of excellence and another reason for patients with sleep disorders to turn to us for care.”

Saratoga Hospital Center for Sleep Disorders is home to an advanced sleep lab, where patients can be evaluated and treated for conditions including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and other sleep disorders. The eight-bed lab combines the latest technology with many of the comforts of home, creating an environment where patients can relax and more easily duplicate their typical sleep experience.

The center is located at 19 West Ave., Saratoga Springs. For an appointment, call 518-289-2740. To learn more, go to www.SaratogaHospital.org.
