Ron Bentley is Senior Human Resources Generalist at Saratoga Hospital. He earned his bachelor of science in business management and human resources management at Empire State College. Ron has been with Saratoga Hospital for 14 years and in the human resources field for nearly 20 years.

Ron works closely with the Vice President of Human Resources. He is responsible for assisting with the daily oversight of Saratoga Hospital’s Human Resources staff. He researches, analyzes, and provides data and advisement to the administrative and clinical compensation programs. Ron is integral to the employee relations program. He also coordinates the initiatives of performance management, policy and procedure administration, management training, and HR compliance, as well as manages the payroll and Human Resources Information System.

The Human Resources department provides comprehensive and innovative services and solutions that are aligned with the hospital’s mission, vision, and operating plan to support Saratoga Hospital employees. Working collaboratively with employees and leadership, the department strives to create a work environment that promotes high performance, career development, and life-long learning. The team’s work has been fundamental to the hospital earning the Business Review’s “Best Place to Work” recognition.

Ron says he had always been interested in working in the healthcare industry because he admires the workers’ dedication to people and community. He chose to enter the Human Resources field because he thought it would be a good way to help people.

“My day-to-day work is greatly varied, and I have never worked for an organization that has such dedicated, hardworking and friendly people,” he says. “Their compassion is seen every day through the care our patients receive and the way they treat each other.

Ron grew up locally and attended Spa Catholic (Saratoga Central Catholic High School). When not working, Ron values spending time with his husband, step-children, and friends. He also enjoys traveling, especially going to the coast for fresh sea air whenever possible. Ron and his dog, Cohen, an American hairless terrier, love to be outside enjoying the garden and fall weather. His favorite holiday is Halloween, and he considers the City of Saratoga Springs a true treasure.
