Lis DeMarco RN in cath labElizabeth (Liz) DeMarco, RN, recently celebrated her two-year anniversary as a registered nurse in the cardiac catheterization lab in Saratoga Hospital's Whitney Hendrickson Cardiovascular Interventional Suite. Before joining us, she spent six years working in an inpatient cardiac unit in Boston. Earlier this year, Liz was one of three Saratoga Hospital nurses nominated for the American Heart Association’s Donald Led Duke Heart Hero Award.

"I work alongside a very talented group of nurses, technologists, physicians, and office staff," Liz says, "to provide quality care to patients in need of cardiovascular diagnostic testing, emergency cardiovascular treatment, and stenting, as well as a variety of interventional radiology procedures."

Liz describes the community culture that exists at Saratoga Hospital as "standing out" compared to other places she has worked. "Every morning that I walk through the door,” she adds, "I am greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. In the short time that I have worked here, I have gained a new family in my coworkers."

Liz is currently studying to become a family nurse practitioner. When she’s not working or doing homework, she spends her time enjoying the outdoors, often either hiking or skiing with her wife. She loves spending time with her family, both in New Jersey and Saratoga Springs. Liz is one of many compassionate, skilled professionals here at Saratoga Hospital.
