Crystal Walker nurse standing in hospital hallwayCrystal Walker, PCA, is a patient care assistant on one of our Medical-Surgical units. She compassionately attends to and manages the personal needs of our patients during their hospital stay. Crystal, who has been with us for more than 4 years, is also a member of the Safe Patient Handling Committee and has recently started a position teaching new PCA’s and technicians their roles.

“I love my work,” says Crystal, “and really value how everyone at Saratoga Hospital works as one unified team. Our Respiratory, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Dietary, and Environmental Services teams are absolutely incredible. We can all count on each other to do what needs to be done for our patients. When I leave at the end of my shift, I know we all did our best.”

Crystal also appreciates the Hospital’s inclusionary approach. She is regularly encouraged to put forth her suggestions and ideas. “It’s a really great feeling to know that no matter what position one holds here at Saratoga Hospital, your opinion matters,” says Crystal. “They value everyone.”

Crystal is a poet who loves to dance, and especially enjoys stand-up comedy shows. Her family and pets are her pride and joy, and she is often found volunteering for her son’s school PTA and local Boy Scout Troop. Crystal is one of many compassionate, skilled professionals here at Saratoga Hospital.
