    2021 Achievements Worth Celebrating

During this past year, we admitted 821 COVID-19 patients who needed our care. Sadly, we lost 137. However, we also witnessed the introduction of the vaccine and realized these simple facts: masks work, and vaccines save lives. With heroic efforts by our nurses and our entire staff to battle COVID-19, we also rallied to provide exceptional patient care and improve the programs and services we offer our community.

    • We earned our first recognition as a "Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care" as part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care Program. This designation, from Blue Shield of Northeastern New York, is a collaborative effort of our physicians and midwives to reflect best practices and change our model of care.
    • Saratoga Hospital Medical Group and Saratoga Hospital were named an "Age-Friendly Health System - Committed to Care Excellence" for focusing on what matters most to our older patients and their families.
    • Newsweek recognized us as one of "The World's Best Hospitals 2021." We were the only Captial Region facility and the only New York State community hospital to make the list.
    • Many of our programs and service lines - including Bariatrics, Medical Imaging, the Radiation Oncoloy Center, Cardiovascular Services, and more - earned re-accreditations and other impressive designations
    • Saratoga Hospital was once again named one of the nation's "Most Wired" healthcare organizations.
    • Saratoga Hospital Medical Group added 12 physicians across seven specialty practices:
      • Breast Surgery
      • Cardiology
      • Infectious Disease
      • Pediatric Ophthalmology
      • Primary Care
      • Pulmonology
